Help for children in Moldova

Unbureaucratic help

Employees from Geberit Germany have organised a donation of unsold products, meaning children in Moldova can now reap the benefits for decades to come.

“About two years ago, a long-standing customer asked me if we had any ceramic sanitary appliances in stock that we couldn’t sell,” remembers Ronald Herkt, Regional Sales Manager Technology in Central Germany. “He wanted to send these products to various orphanages, children’s homes and similar institutions in Moldova.” Ronald Herkt got to work right away. As a result, three articulated lorries have already been able to travel to Moldova, fully loaded with WCs, washbasins, mirror cabinets and furniture which weren’t going to be able to be sold as a result of the brand change from Keramag to Geberit.

“A lot of hard work goes into manufacturing our products. I’m glad that they can be put to good use in Moldova. This was only possible because a lot of colleagues at Geberit supported the project in an unbureaucratic way.” Ronald Herkt, Regional Sales Manager Technology in Central Germany
